Daniel Spurgeon

Founder, Chief Innovation Officer

Mr. Spurgeon has been an inventor and product visionary nearly all his life. Dan has acquired several patents evolving from his mastery of wood and stone manipulation. His extensive understanding of residential and commercial building development and rehabilitation, along with his considerable technical acumen in engineering both novel building solutions and their means of production, inspired his vision for uncovering opportunities to innovate human factors in professional and lived-in spaces. Many of Dan’s innovations merge function and technology. 

Wayne Swisher

Advisor

Mr. Swisher has over 25 years of experience owning, operating, and growing companies. His experience is across manufacturing, technology, SaaS, consumer packaged goods, and distribution operations. His experience includes start-ups, emerging entities, hyper-growth enterprises, category creations, turn-around situations, mergers/acquisitions, capital raises, and market development. Wayne sold his CPG company after growing 28 percent CAG over 15 years. More recently, he sold his SaaS platform interest after increasing ARR 400 percent in four years. 

Randy Gish

Operations Manager

Mr. Gish has over 25 years of experience in both residential and commercial building and real estate development. His successes in these spaces offers a wealth of insight into team leadership, project management, budgets and deadlines, as well as the nuances in the marketplace of doors. 

Eric Hall

Product Design Developer

Mr. Hall brings an extensive background in residential architecture, commercial construction, building automation, and software design to help create and build the underlying technology platform that allows Pogo to achieve its goals of redefining the Final Yard(TM) of delivery across the globe.

G.B. Veerman

Creative Director

Mr. Veerman is a creative director and business leader with 28 years’ experience solving communications challenges and leading diverse teams of marketing, creative, and production talent across the United States. He is the founder and owner of Astronaut Studio, which specializes in brand strategy and campaigns for companies in renewable energy, precision agriculture, tech, and mobility. Over the course of his career, Mr. Veerman has served a wide spectrum of Fortune 500 companies like Dupont, Intel, HP, Oracle, Cisco, IBM, AOL, Merck, Cargill, Ford Motor Company, BMW Group, and countless small and mid-sized companies. 

John Callan

Co-Founder, Managing Director,
Ursa Major Associates

Mr. Callan is the leading authority on the impact of the disruptions caused by the digital marketplace on the USPS and other operating models. He started his career in the seventies founding Calico Air Courier, then merging it into DHL. His experience includes tenures at: DHL. Skypack, Purolator Courier and pioneer online shipping system creator of Click&Send. He began a strategy consulting practices advising USPS and worked for Coopers and Lybrand and PwC as he thought-led projects on the USPS’s Expedited and Package Services Business Plan, PostOffice Online and International Business Unit strategy. He led the breakthrough alliance with DHL to create Global Express Guaranteed, the first co-branded USPS product with a competitor. John and his Ursa Major colleagues have advised mailing and express delivery industry leaders, as well as start-ups on strategic issues in the progressively integrating mail and parcel value chain. He is the Founder and Chairman of The PostalVision 2020 Initiative.

Rich Carpenter

Product Testing

Mr. Carpenter brings a unique background and expertise in manufacturing building, and industrial adhesives, coatings and tapes. He routinely works with Underwriters Laboratories and other agencies in product testing and certification. Mr. Carpenter began his career in industrial chemistry with Harcros Chemicals as a sales rep in the E. Iowa and W. Illinois territory. Two years later he joined, Reichhold Chemicals / Swift Adhesives where he worked 16 years before transitioning into the durable assembly market for HB Fuller. More recently he has been with adhesives leader IFS Industries. Rich brings a unique view of process and materials testing and will serve Pogo as an advisor on manufacturing quality control.
